INGREDIENTS

  • 400g of lean minced meat (beef or chicken)


  • 1 can of 400g crushed tomatoes


  • 2 tablespoons of Matana pure cocoa powder


  • 1 onion, 2 cloves of garlic


  • 1 teaspoon of Italian herbs (oregano, thyme)


  • Salt, pepper, olive oil

PREPARATION

  • Finely chop the onion and garlic.


  • Fry in a drizzle of olive oil until translucent.


  • Add the minced meat and cook for 5 minutes.


  • Stir in the chopped tomatoes, herbs, salt and pepper.


  • Add the pure cocoa and mix well until it dissolves.


  • Simmer for 20 minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally.


  • Serve with al dente wholemeal pasta.
